India is a country of villages. Nearly v lakh villages exist in In a. While only about 28 per cent of the population lives in the cities, 72 per cent of the population lives in the villages. The villages thereof occupy a place of capital importance in the country. They are the creation of Indias development in each sphere of life. in that location were many problems in the villages before Independence. There were no schools, hospitals, banks, etc., for the facilities of the villagers. There were no proper roads, electricity and thermionic tube wells. As a matter of event their life was a hell. Since the dawn of Independence, the conditions in the Indian villages are changing genuinely lush. The Government has opened night schools for the adults and pristine schools for boys and girls. Till recently, most of the farmers were use the white-haired methods of plouhing their handle, or sowing seeds and harvesting. However, the farmers are now using new techniques. They plough their fields with tractors, and irrigate their fields with water from tube-wells. With the abolition of zamindari, the mortal who ploughs the fields is now the real possessor of the land. A great change has taken place in the political and affable life of the villagers too. Before Independence, they had no aver in the affairs of the village. Now one thousand Sabha, Gram Panchayat an, Panchayati Adalat are there. collectable to the functioning of these bodies, the villagers have now begun to control their rights and duties.There are changes in some others fields also Roads are constructed by the villagers. Now every village is link by roads to other part of the country. Hospitals and government dispensaries have been established t o carry away the illness and diseases which usually become a curse on community. In short, the detail is that the development of villages is in a transitional stage. Villages are the biggest support for India, from the past to future. They are the one, with which the world recognizes India. They are the one that does not depend on any other cities, but the entire India is dependent on the villages. They contribute to our modern India in every fields starting from agriculture, economy, prettiness of our country. Hence, I conclude that villages are the biggest strength to our India.
